Mileage Program

Dillon Brothers HOG Mileage Program

At our January 2018 officers meeting the new group of officers made some changes that we want to make you aware of.  The goal is to reward our members for their participation.

  • The current winter mileage contest will end at the April chapter meeting.  At that time we will only have an annual mileage contest and it will run January 1st thru December 31st.  This contest will coincide with the Ride 365 contest by HOG.  We will use the mileage already provided for Ride 365 as the starting mileage for this year.  If you have not already sent in your mileage, then please send a picture of your copy of odometer reading along with your bike, year, model and VIN number  to headroadcaptain@ as soon as you can.  You can also take your bike into the Dillon Brothers Harley-Davidson and have them verify your VIN and mileage.  The top 3 total mileage totals for both men and women will be recognized.  Participation rewards will also be given with one entry per 1,000 miles ridden.
  • We are starting a Year-Round Riding Club.  We plan to have a plaque at the dealership and patches made for those members who qualify.  In order to qualify, the member will have to ride their bike to the dealership once every month of the year.  There will be a notebook at the front desk where one of the employees will record your visit for that month.  This will be based on one calendar year from January thru December.  For those of you who want to qualify this year, you only have three weeks left in January to get your ride to the dealership.
  • We also will be rewarding those members who participate in events and rides.  Starting with our events after The Holiday Party, all chapter events will be worth points.  All non-riding events will be worth one point and all rides will be worth two points.  All points earned from one chapter meeting until the next meeting will be tallied up. Each point is worth one entry into a participation awards drawing.  You will still be given a raffle ticket for attending the chapter meetings.  We will be giving out two attendance awards, and two participation awards at each chapter meeting.
If you have any questions feel free to reach out to any of your officers.

National HOG Ride 365 Mileage Program

Whether it’s an afternoon getaway or a transcontinental journey of a lifetime, every ride you take brings us closer together. Keep track of your lifetime mileage, because the miles count. If you aren’t enrolled in the Lifetime mileage program, see your dealer to enroll. Miles shown reflect miles earned and entered by a dealer since enrollment into the HOG mileage program and might not reflect all miles ridden.

National HOG ABCs Of Touring

Is there a town or county near you that begins with the letter “X”? If so, you already have a leg up in this annual battle of alphabet chasers, where points for the 24th letter are hard to come by.

Actually, “battle” is much too strong a word for this popular, friendly competition; providing motivation to ride to new or out-of-the-way places is what this program is really all about.

Here’s how it works: Keep a camera and a copy of a current issue of HOG® magazine with your bike. Then, you can earn points by submitting photographs of you and your Harley® (or your HOG® Fly & Ride rental bike) in front of official signs while holding a current copy of one of the magazines. The idea is to visit cities and counties beginning with as many different letters of the alphabet – and as many states and provinces – as possible. There are other ways to earn points, too, such as by attending State, National, or International Rallies, visiting national parks or forests, Harley-Davidson facilities, etc.

At the end of the year, Send in your results, and National HOG rewards the highest point totals. You can also earn awards just for reaching certain point levels. But when all is said and done, it’s not a matter of whether you win or lose (besides, how can you lose?), it’s how you play the game: by touring the country on a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle.

If you have any questions regarding the contests please email the Head Road Captain.
